This Surah, like the rest, has many benefits: "The right" is associated with goodness, the righteous will be seated to the right of Allah's throne and receive the records of their deeds in their right hand.The "foremost" refers to a special group of people who will have even better fate than the companions of the right in the afterlife. According to the Surah, the first two groups will enter paradise while the companions of the left will go to hell. The chapter also distinguishes the three classes of people in the afterlife, "the foremost", "the companions of the right" and "the companions of the left". It describes the day of judgement in a very detailed manner, explaining clearly to the people, what the result of their actions will bring them. Picking up from the preceding Surah, Ar-Rahman, which discusses the rewards of Heaven (jannah), this Surah also mentions them and then distinctions them with the punishment of hell. The main topic discussed in this Surah is the akhirat or afterlife. Surah Waqiah is the 56th Surah of the Holy Quran and was revealed in Makkah.
